“The new Magelis™ GTU W-LAN 12” display prepares industrial machines for the future with enhanced HMI connectivity. It enables fast, easy, and secure wireless connectivity between the machine and service device from any spot within its range.
Magelis GTU W-LAN is a flexible solution, incorporating an extra Ethernet port (for a total of three). It can connect to the router of an existing wireless network, or act as a router to create its own network. Furthermore, with the Magelis GTU W-LAN wireless display installed in one machine, all other units in an existing Ethernet network gain wireless access. All devices connected to the wireless-enabled display through standard Ethernet ports are also automatically detected and presented for the operator on one list.
The Magelis GTU W-LAN display has everything needed to establish wireless connectivity, including the wireless module and the antenna built right into a single housing. This substantially reduces the installation cost and requires no extra space.
The Magelis GTU W-LAN display can be used in virtually any industrial environment. It is resistant to water and dust as per IP67 environmental protection. An optional environmental cover adds enhanced resistance against oil and chemicals used in the machine tool industry. Magelis GTU W-LAN also operates in temperatures of up to 60°C and possesses key international certifications.
Schneider Electric offers a full range of software to seamlessly connect to the Magelis GTU W-LAN display for machine commissioning as well as real-time monitoring and diagnostics. Once connected, units can be accessed via dedicated HMI PC software such as Vijeo Designer and its mobile counterparts, the Vijeo Design’Air and Vijeo Design’Air+ apps for smartphone and tablet.”
