The Green Building Council of Indonesia is currently drafting a green building rating system – called GREENSHIP – to determine a building’s eligibility for “green building” certification. GREENSHIP Indonesia is unique, as assessment tools in a given country must accommodate local circumstances.
GREENSHIP rates six aspects of a building’s sustainability:
- Appropriate Site Development / ASD
- Energy Efficiency & refrigerant / EER
- Water Conservation / WAC
- Material Resources & Cycle / MRC
- Indoor Air Health & Comfort / IHC
- Building & Environmental Management
Green Building Council Indonesia is an independent (non-government) and non-profit organization fully committed to applying environmental best practices to facilitate the transformation of the global sustainable building industry.
