In this policy briefing, HUD’S Office for International and Philanthropic Innovation invites OECD officials Dr. Tadashi Matsumoto, Senior Policy Analyst, and Mr. Yasushi Yoshida, Head of Division, Regional Policy for Sustainable Development, to discuss the comparative findings of their forthcoming report on “Compact City” policies.

The briefing continues a discussion on green growth strategies that began between Dr. Matsumoto and representatives from the Partnership for Sustainable Communities at the Department of Transportation last spring. Following the presentation of the report, IPI will facilitate an open dialogue about green growth and sustainable urban development policies between the OECD representatives and a panel of vested US government stakeholders; including representatives from HUD, DOT, EPA, and DOE.
