The Cadillac ELR incorporates the propulsion system of the Chevy Volt: the battery pack, the 120-kilowatt electric motor, and the four-cylinder engine-generator. The ELR, which is based on the 2009 Converj concept, has an all-electric range of 64 km (40 miles) and a top speed of 160 km/h (100 mph). The battery recharges in only three hours using a 240-volt outlet.
