Motorists enrolled in the Off‐Peak Car (OPC) Scheme receive rebates in exchange for restricted usage of vehicles during peak travel hours (7am–7pm). Cars participating in the OPC Scheme  constitute about 8.1% of Singapore’s total car population.

The program has been credited with a reduction in 50 ktonnes of oil equivalent (ktoe), and the equivalent to 150 ktonnes (0.12% annual reduction) of CO2 emissions.
